In the spirit of inspiring more moms, I'm highlighting a different mompreneur and her story every Monday for the next few months.
These women are hardworking, amazing mommas who are balancing family life and creative business life. They are at varying levels with their blogging business. Some are just getting started. Some have been blogging for years.
Each mom offers a different perspective on what works (and doesn't work) for her when it comes to being a mompreneur.

Interview with Shawna at PrayLoveWellness.com
What's the name of your blog? What do you blog about?
My blog is called Pray Love Wellness. At Pray Love Wellness I provide honest, real information to help you know the dangers caused by unhealthy environmental and lifestyle factors, and help you learn how to avoid them to protect yourself, and your family. I witness many families needlessly sick and miserable, and it breaks my heart. Which is why it is my mission to bring truth, and action to every woman. The kind of action that will give you back your power, to live healthy and happy. Giving you control of the future and health, of you and your family.
How long have you been blogging and what made you decide to start a blog?
I started blogging at the beginning of 2017. I started blogging because my husband and I own and operate a Functional Medicine Clinic. Every day I get questions about various things. What do you do for this? What “this do you buy”.
So reason #1 is, I could answer these questions in one place for everyone and #2, we live a healthy lifestyle and reap the benefits of great health. I want to share that with as many women as possible. In our clinic, we can only help a small percentage of the population, but I want to help more! People, including to many children, are sick from so many different toxic exposures in life. I want to help these families get and stay healthy, and have a healthy, happy life.
How many children do you have? Ages? What do they think about you being a blogger?
I have 3 amazing children. 🙂 13, 16 & 18. My children love that I'm sharing my passion with others. My youngest son volunteers to have his photo taken for blog posts and even helps with ideas! haha!
What's your favorite thing about blogging?
My favorite thing about blogging is when I get a message that a post resonated with someone, and they're making a change for the better in their life! That's what I'm here for. The feeling of knowing that the quality of life for that person (and their family) will be better because of that one, or many, life changes is absolutely fulfilling!!
What your least favorite thing about blogging?
Hahaha! How much time it takes. I just wish all of my thoughts could post themselves! I could help so much more if I didn't have to sit and type it all out. 🙂
What's your favorite blogging tool that you simply cannot go without and why?
I'd have to say, my social media scheduling tools. Between running our busy clinic, mommy-ing three teens, maintaining a healthy marriage and my own health and home, I don't have any extra time for spending a lot of time on social media. Scheduling with these tools makes it possible.
What's the best advice you would give to a mom looking to start her own mompreneur business?
My best advice would be to do something you already do and love, then the hard work will be worth it! For me, I already know this stuff. I live it and teach it every day. It's my lifestyle. It makes “work” easier and more enjoyable that way.
Just for fun: If you were a beverage, which beverage would you be?
Haha! Interesting question! I think I'd be water. Pure, crisp, refreshing. I love water and I'm constantly educating the importance of drinking more, seems like a natural fit. 😉
